before i forget them completely,
what i learnt from:

KO Night:
musicality, is seriously very important.
must keep listening to music.
& also the chemistry between partners.
so both won't look out of sync with each other.
& preparedness,
like the tag combos.

& it's important to not get too stressed out,
even when you hear negative comments.
important thing is,
don't falter, because it shows.
& it won't look nice.
keep going, keep going, keep going.
you screw up once, so be it.
don't let it affect you for the rest of the performance.
because it hasn't ended yet.
there's still a glimmer of hope (:
stand strong & be proud.
not boastful, but proud;
of how far you've came & how much you've achieved.
& always know that there will be people supporting,
all the way.

sincerity is very, very, very important too.

& last but not least,
do not be arrogant.
it's irksome.
& it's very rude.
it's not proper dancer attitude.
so shove it up your stupid ass.
don't show off.
being confident & being cocky is different.
be the former, not the latter.
because maybe, you've nothing to be proud of,
if truth be told.

Suntec Dance:
management.
& "the show must go on" spirit.

Hilty & Bosch:
relax.
listen to music.
keep the rhythm & groove.
& the harsh reality that,
i still have a lot to work on,
to even reach half of their sick awesome standard.
go me (:

inspirational <3
i think it's the fact that we actually met them live in person.
i wanted to ask them stuff about Locking but..
oh well ):

one fine day,
in the near future,
i will fly to Osaka,
& learn from them.
(:

Xuehui:
freestyle doesn't need dope moves.
the most important thing is to dance.
listen to the music, & dance.
it's different from battles,
which you should probably do something super dope.
(lol.)
& it's different from choreography,
where the things you do are set by someone,
& if it doesn't look nice,
it can be changed,
& stuff.
freestyle, is to let yourself dance to the music.

mmmm. maybe that's why there's a "free" word in it.

& i think,
other than learning just techniques of a certain style,
we should learn the essence of it.
how it's executed,
why is it done in this way,
how was it formed.
etc etc etc.
ultimately, i think history is the most important.
because without understanding why a style exist,
you can't possibly call yourself a
(whatever style) dancer,
& the dance itself loses some of its quality.
(so i'm very irked with people,
who call themselves..
Poppers/Lockers/BBoys/etc
without knowing WHAT/WHO/HOW/WHEN/WHERE/WHY the style was formed etc.)

today is very super tiring day.
