THE NEXT WAVE WAS DAMN DOPE.
but before that,
let me start by something that pissed me off today.

so.
i know that most people now know that i prefer Locking.
which is true. i do.
but that doesn't mean i disregard other genres & their styles as well.
because if you open your eyes big enough,
you'll realise that i'm doing Hiphop/Jazz too.
do i hate them? no i don't.
it's just a matter of preference.
& for your information, i adore Jazz.
as much as i adore Locking & Wacking.
so to clarify first, i don't just only like Locking,
i like other styles too.

secondly,
i DO NOT see myself as an awesome Locker.
i know what i lack in, i know what i have to improve on,
& i can assure you, i have NOT mastered every step in the Locking vocabulary.
& even if i have, i still have freestyle & groove to work on.
until i have, i will not speak of myself as a super good Locker,
or even "Locking queen" like you have sooooo labeled me as. & it's annoying.
(& you know, Hilty & Bosch are super dope but still they practice every single day.
this tells you something.)
thanks, but no thanks.
& besides, you probably haven't even seen me do Locking.
you probably just heard about me doing Locking from other people in the studio.
& as news spread, they get exaggerated.
don't believe simply by word of mouth.
because humans can't be trusted. this i believe in.
so unless you have seen me PROPERLY Locking,
by that i mean full out & everything,
stop this crap. seriously.

thirdly,
i dislike your tone when i saw you today at NUS.
"you Locking queen lehhh."
seriously, wtf?
you don't know my background.
you don't know how i started dance.
you don't know who i've been taught under.
don't assume just because i Lock, i have never done something else like Modern dance.
let me tell you something.
i've had Modern dance experience for at least 5 years.
& just so you know, i've had the honour of learning under
MR SHABIRUL ZAKI AHMAD himself,
who is ALSO one of the instructors for NUS Dance Ensemble,
for one full year.
& just so you know as well,
i did SYF under him,
& returned with a Gold.
speaks much?
i don't do ballet & so i can't compare to you,
but i am definitely sure i have more experience doing Modern.
so don't be a smart-ass & think that it's surprising for me to attend a Modern dance concert.
because like, bloody hell,
i did Modern dance before.
& i like Modern dance too.
& i know about & have heard of NUS Dance Ensemble & i know that they're good.
WTF okay.

i didn't have a good impression of you.
don't prove me right.
ugh.
i'm so annoyed.
i dislike people who assume things about me,
especially about my dance.
stop being rude.
wtfwtfwtf.

with that said,
THE NEXT WAVE 2008 WAS
DAMN
DAMN
DAMN
DAMN
DAMN
GOOD.
seriously.

i loved Mr Zaki's item. i recognize all the Mr Zaki details! lol.
i loved Dan Kwoh's item. very, very, very good concept.
& i loved the skirt-change part. so good!
the fact that everyone actually pulled it off made the whole visual impact great.
really. Dan Kwoh is dope. i watched his LASALLE graduation item before.
phwoar. dope man, seriously.
i loved Zhou Suli's item. choreography is simple, but it was pulled off very nicely.
& her dancers had SUPER strong techniques. which made the item even better.
yes, very good (:
& i loved Zaini's item. VERY ENJOYABLE TO WATCH!!!
superrrrr funny! i like how he just comes out at every song change
& dance something quirky, & the whole atmosphere just keeps building up.
great fun!
Willy & Steff were sooo outrageous in their costume they're the funniest to watch xD
Willy in FBT & Steff in hair rollers.
xDDD

Next Wave is really sooooo good.
i'm glad i caught it. (:
made me miss doing Modern all over again.
& Mr Zaki's actually-not-difficult-but-it's-just-very-fast choreography.
anyway i managed to catch him before the show started (:
glad he's doing well ((:
& i really want to do another of his item one day!
maybe i'll try aiming for NUS. hmmmmm.
see first. not planning on entering University anyway \=

i think Next Wave was better than Evocation.
ahhh.
dope.
i'm inspired again.
stretch more, stretch more.
