pretend it's 1 September okay.
(i just reached home from school dang.)
HAPPY TEACHERS' DAY!! =D
this goes out to all certified teachers,
instructors,
coaches,
& each & every one of you
who have taught someone something,
somewhere in your life.
(:

--

today i thought a lot.
hahahaha yes so strange.
but i like thinking, so here goes.

--

i think,
it's important that
sometimes we stop criticizing others
& reflect upon yourself.
because everyone's not perfect.
or rather, God is fair.
He doesn't create flawless people,
because then we wouldn't learn to depend on Him.
(but that's for another day, okay? =D)
anyway,
i know that there's this sentence,
"everyone's entitled to their own opinion."
but you know,
the world doesn't revolve around a single human.
you may have your own thoughts about something,
but it doesn't mean that
other people should, or must, have them too.
it's alright to voice them out,
seriously,
but occasionally,
you should watch your tone,
or you'll end up sounding very rude,
which irks people.
(like me. lol.)
unless you're like the President or something,
but then because we're democratic (apparently),
he doesn't make the choice entirely on his own,
otherwise we'll be a communist country.
so you see, you're not really all that..
self-important.

& yes,
it's very rude,
to cut off others' conversation
halfway through when they're talking.
basic respect
& politeness
& courtesy please.

--

i think,
that observation
is very important to a dancer.
because it's only through observation
that you know how to do something
in class.
even if there's someone teaching you,
if you fail to observe how the person does something,
then i think,
it's difficult for you to learn how to do it at all.
& observation doesn't mean just in class.
i feel that,
it's important as dancers,
to observe things around us.
public,
animals,
nature,
vehicles on the road,
etc etc etc.
by observing things around you,
you can probably find inspiration,
& come up with something interesting,
be it choreography or costumes.
& i think that,
once your observation skills are up to par,
your ability to catch steps,
& understand the techniques,
& knowing how your body moves to do those steps,
will improve greatly.
so yes, observation is very important (:
along with other things too.
which probably makes up another list altogether,
so never mind.

& then, i think
dancers have to be open-minded.
i don't mean just by accepting unfamiliar styles,
but also the fact that you're willing to try out something
that looks completely retarded,
but probably will have some very nice effect
on stage, or something.
you know,
just try.
(hahaha like that China movie thing..)
you never know what might happen,
if you don't give it a shot.
in the end,
people might say it's "dope".
yes, favourite word, ain't it?

--

& this, i think,
is definitely true.
dancers improve together
as a team,
as a group,
together-gether.
no one should isolate another,
because we dance together.
(isolations lol.)
& it's by dancing together,
that we can improve ourselves more,
because we have each other to learn from,
to lean on,
to encourage,
& any mistakes that we fail to see,
others can point them out to us,
& so after correcting them,
we learn more, again.
no dancer is a loner.
we should all strive for improvement together.
(:

& then,
have you ever wondered,
how different your life could be,
if you hadn't chose to take this path
that you're taking now in your life?

i wonder,
what might happen if i hadn't gone to JC last year.
or, what if i'd still stayed there?
the different choices that i'll be making,
the different people that i'll meet,
etc etc etc.
opportunity costs, opportunity costs.
(lol Econs.. Ceteris Paribus!)
but it's interesting right?
lol.

i believe, however,
that whatever happens,
my life is planned out,
not by me, but by the Big Guy Above.
who loves, cares, & wants to bless me
according to the riches of heaven.
because i am the heir of God through Christ,
& i inherit not worldly gains,
but heavenly riches. (:
& i know that i don't have to worry
about what i wear, what i eat,
my life in the future,
because He knows exactly what to do for me,
& i am protected,
greatly blessed, highly favoured, deeply loved!
(in short, gbhfdl. WHICH HAPPENS TO BE - part of - MY EMAIL.
stop getting it wrong. -_______-)

(:
