HMMMMM.let's see.. i once PM-ed, "disappointments arise from high expectations of what was never meant to be". 'course, that was when i was a bit.. emo about something. haha. but anyway, i'm not saying that we should not have high expectations all the time. setting goals & expectations are good. the only obstacle is conquering them. so occasionally you fail, you get disappointed, you get demoralised. it is okay (: really. as the Chinese saying goes, translated, failure is the key to succeed (ahh i love paradoxes). & like what Nigel Lythgoe said, "it is always good to have something to get on top of & be better there... & so you'll continue to work for the rest of your life.." so you didn't do as well as you'd expected of yourself. it really is okay (: instead of looking at it as.. "shit i didn't do as well." "shit i could've done better." look upon it as a benchmark for improvement. get past it, go higher. life's not a pretty bed of roses. disappointments are bound to happen. it's how you look at them. (: & you know, everyone starts out afraid. we are scared of things that we are unfamiliar with. that's human. & as time progresses, you get more comfortable with it, & you won't be so scared anymore. (: (: (: so just keep working hard. we have 5 more weeks. chiong ahhh. (: -- A levels are bitches!!!! yes i know. lol. a horrible way of testing your intelligence, really. but anyway, all the best for the remaining papers to come! =D jiayou all you JC people. |
